5K on a beautiful day

SPORTS. Runners of all ages had a great time at the O.S.C.A.R. 5K fundraiser this weekend at Skylands Stadium.

This weekend runners of all ages from throughout Sussex County turned out for a 5K fundraiser in Augusta. Sixty-three-year-old

Kathy Banach of Unionville, NY, for example, was euphoric as she approached the finish line during her very first 5K race.

"I made it in under an hour, and there are people behind me that are half my age," she said.

The annual One Step Closer to Animal Rescue (O.S.C.A.R.) 5K was held this weekend at Skylands Stadium. Participants were automatically entered into raffles, with movie nights, restaurant gift cards, and more.
