By George Hunter After a dent in its winning streak, the Newton High School Braves varsity football team is back on a roll with a 28-17 Homecoming Game win over the Kittatinny Cougars, on Friday Oct. 19. The final score was 28-17. Team records: Kittatinny Cougars 6-2. Newton Braves 7-1. Senior Reese Matonis was crowned homecoming queen. Matonis is a track and field athlete and enjoys volunteering. It means the Braves now have the division title. Wallkill Valley and Newton end the season with wins over Lenape Valley and Hopatcong.
