Wallkill Valley Regional High School defeated Newton High School in varsity football on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018. The final score was 13-12. Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hardyston Township, New Jersey hosted the game.

The Newton Braves came into the contest with an 18 game wining streak which began in the 2017 season. The Wallkill Valley Rangers goal was to win the game and halt their opponents streak. And the Rangers did what they set out to do and proved they are contenders in the process.

Quarterback Alex Mastroianni threw for 110 yards and 1 touchdown for Wallkill Valley.

Running back Ryan Kaiser rushed for 133 yards and 1 touchdown for Newton. Nick Brigante rushed for 65 yards and 1 touchdown.

Team records: Newton Braves 6-1. Wallkill Valley Rangers 6-1.
