— Otto Salamon, a Holocaust survivor and resident of Sparta, will be speaking at Chabad of Sussex County on July 22.

Growing up in Hungary when WWII broke out, Otto witnessed and lived through the many horrors of the Holocaust. His book "Dodging Death: A Family on the Run" records his harrowing experiences and will be for sale at the event.

The Lecture is being held on the Jewish day of "Tish'a B'Av"("the 9th of Av") - the Jewish national day of mourning and remembrance for the Jewish exile and suffering throughout the ages. This day, also observed as a fast, is the date upon which both temples in Jerusalem were destroyed by the Babylonians and the Romans, respectively.

The event will be held at Chabad of Sussex County, 266 Woodport Rd Sparta, NJ. The program will begin at 7:15 pm with a prayer service, followed by a presentation at 7:45. Admission is free. Parking is available at 246 Woodport Rd. All those able are kindly requested to park at the above address.
