SPARTA — The Sparta Avenue Stage is bringing two professional magicians with distinctly different styles to Sparta in June and July as part of their monthly 24KT Close-up magic series which happens the first Saturday of every month at 8 PM. The June 2 show features a rising star in close-up magic, Jason Ladanye. Jason performed “Cons, Cheats, and Scams” with Sean the Prankster Magician at the Stage in March 2017 to enthusiastic reviews by the attendees. The upcoming June 2nd performance will highlight Jason at the close-up table performing his extraordinary card magic with audience members close by and as show participants.

Ladanye has just returned from a European tour; visiting the Czech Republic, performing at the prestigious Magic Circle in London, and headlining a Master Class and lecture for magicians in Poland. The recognition of Ladayne’s stunning close-up magic is clear. He headlined the 39th Annual Abbot’s Close-Up Magic Convention in March and he was selected to participate in the prestigious invitation-only FFFF convention (Fechter’s Fickle Finger Frolic) held annually that features the “best performers, creators, and lecturers in the world.”

Joe Garsetti proprietor of the Sparta Ave Stage said, “Jason is one of the most entertaining as well as one of the best card magicians in the world today. Even people who are not fans of magic will be astounded by his performance and entertained by his personality.”

In an interview, Jason has said that “My favorite effects are anything that makes an audience gasp with shock.” Jason Ladanye's website (www.cardmagicbyjason.com) shows how people react to his expertise with cards. Tickets for this intimate performance to see Jason Ladanye perform his favorite effects are limited and cost $20 or $15 with the $5 discount 24KT poker-chip available at the Stage.

The following month, on July 7th, at 8 PM, New York City master magician Eric DeCamps will be performing as part of 24KT Magic. DeCamps is considered by the magic community as one of the premiere sleight of hand artist of our generation. His one-man show, “Pure Magic, A Performance of Contemporary Conjuring,” which played in NYC and Chicago, was hailed as “entertaining from start to finish…the best you will ever see” by Richmond Shepard of The Performing Arts Insider, a bimonthly journal about the performing arts in New York City. General Admission tickets are $20-call or text 973-769-2893 for information and availability.
