— Comedian Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling is many things, but he is most remembered for this work with Shock Jock Howard Stern.

Martling brings his own brand of comedy to the Main Stage at The Stanhope House in Stanhope for a special performance on Thursday May 3. Doors open at 5:30 for dinner, show starting at 7:30.

This special show is being co-promoted by The Stanhope House and the legendary Catch A Rising Star.

Indeed, Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling is a comedian, radio personality, actor, author and a singer-songwriter.

For 18 years (1983-2001) he was Head Writer and a fixture on radio & television's Howard Stern Show. Born and raised in East Norwich, Long Island, he already had a name for himself on the comedy circuit on Long Island before reaching new heights with Stern.

In fact, Martling had a big hand in creating the Long Island comedy club scene in the late 70’s. He still works all around the country performing his solo act of rapid-fire jokes and his classic finale, “Stump The Joke Man,” and guests on many of the top national radio shows and podcasts. His autobiography, “The Joke Man: Bow To Stern,” was released last year.

Tickets for the Stanhope House show are available online at www.catcharisingstar.com or www.stanhopehousenj.com. Tickets in advance are $30 (VIP seating), $25 (general seating) and $18 (standing room). Standing room available day of show for $22. Once tickets are purchased, MUST CALL for table reservations at 973-347-7777. There is also a $10 Food & Beverage minimum collected in cash at door for ages under 21; Voucher redeemable in restaurant.
