“This event always draws a great crowd,” states event chairperson Yolanda Lucarelli, “The combination of a delicious dinner followed by a fantastic, high-energy musical show at a great price makes for a wonderful evening!” Fine Arts Department Teacher Jacquelyn Burt adds, "Bring It On" is the ideal choice for 2018 as it examines issues of the meaning of competition, social equality, bullying, feminism, and diversity through the amazing kaleidoscope of Lin-Manuel Miranda's timely music and lyrics. It features tumbling, dance and top-notch vocals. Join the award-winning Pope John Players for an evening of fast-paced entertainment that's not to be missed!"

The evening kicks off with dinner at 6 PM followed by the show at 8 PM. Dinner choices for adults include fish & chips, eggplant rollatini or spinach lasagna. Children receive two slices of pizza and chips. Non-alcoholic beverages are included. Tickets cost $48. for adults and $25. for children and include dinner and the show. Limited seats are available, and the deadline for ticket purchase is February 17th. Interested parties should email yolil0417@gmail.com to obtain a ticket request form. Pope John Booster Club President Maureen Myles explains, “Ticket purchases help offset rising costs of keeping extracurricular activities an integral part of our children’s education, from drama club to robotics teams to the entire spectrum of sports programs. With these programs, children learn teamwork, cooperation and social skills---and may discover a new passion! Besides our Pope John students, local recreational teams also have access to our fields and courts.”

Located at 28 Andover Road in Sparta, New Jersey, Pope John XXIII Regional High School is an 8th grade - 12th grade institution committed to the Catholic tradition of education. Guided by the belief that each child has unique gifts and is entitled to an excellent education, the Pope John community fosters its students’ intellectual, spiritual and physical growth, and champions the importance of social responsibility.
