NEWTON — Taking college courses close to home is the key advantage for Hopatcong residents and the surrounding areas. Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is offering 17 new courses for the start of the spring semester on January 22. The classes are open to everyone and the credits can be used to complete an associate degree at SCCC or easily transferred to a four-year college.

New classes include Character Design, Computer Concepts, English Composition, Food Service Sanitation, History of Rock & Roll, Intro to Exercise Science, Intro to Hotel & Restaurant Mgmt., Intro to Meteorology, Intro to Psychology, Music Theory, Painting, Statistics, Video & Motion Graphics and more.
