NEWTON — Self-expression through visual art, music and writing provides a healthy outlet that promotes creativity, self-discipline and self-discovery. Join others at JAM, or ‘Journey through Arts and Music,’ at The Center, 65 Newton Sparta Rd in Newton on January 13, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for the chance to present or perform an original piece of music or art and give the backstory of how it came to be and what it means to you. Meet others to share art, poetry, music and more with an emphasis on hope, healing and recovery from addiction. This monthly Recovery Social Event night will run open-mic style with opportunities to socialize, relax and network with others who are recovery-friendly.
