— Newton-Lenape Valley defeated Gill Saint Bernard's School (Gladstone, N.J.) in varsity ice hockey on Saturday, December 16, 2017. The final score was 4-1. The game took place at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, New Jersey.

Liam Cherry scored the first goal for Newton in the first period. Tyler Sevean, Ryan Vandenberg and Kyle Vandenberg scored the other three goals. Jake Kaplan made three assists.

Goaltender Trey Kaplan blocked 20 shots for Newton-Lenape Valley (NLV).

Vincent Cucci scored for the Gill Saint Bernard's Knights in the third period. Edward McCarthy made the assist.

Goaltender Matt Cooper blocked 31 shots for the Gill Saint Bernard's Knights.

Team records: Gill St. Bernard's Knights 1-4. Newton-Lenape Valley (NLV) 6-1.
